Bridgwater lies along both sides of the River Parrett approx 10 miles from its mouth and it has been a major port and trading centre. Bridgwater is located between J23 and J24 of the M5 Motorway and the Railway Station is within 5 minutes walk of the Town Centre it is also linked to the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal. |

Over the past 10 years there have seen many changes to the town with new buildings replacing old, which has seen the building of a new Hospital, Police Station and some new schools, but the town still has over 250 historic andlisted buildings although some of the older buildings have been demolished over the years. |

Bridgwater has three main annual events, the Fair every September and the Largest Illuminated Carnival in November where people come from all over the world come to see....with the Squibbing unique to the town and the Christmas lights switch on in December |
